I’m a PhD candidate in philosophy at Harvard University.  I work mainly in the philosophy of science and the philosophy of social science on topics that intersect with metaphysics, epistemology, and ethics.  My dissertation is concerned with challenges to explanatory realism and to causal theories of explanation. In particular, I focus on challenges from idealization and from rational choice explanation, respectively.

Other topics that I’m interested in include: causal explanation, the ethics of technology, matching mechanisms and fairness, causal inference, and explanation in economics.
